1. The Cindai which originated From Gujerat and South Rajasthan in India is called patola in Hindi. It was brought to our shores during the time of the Malacca Sultanate.
2. The Songket with gold and silver tthreads is usually weaved on a frame loom. But now more people are using the flying shuttle which is also called Siamese loom.
3. In the Iban language Pua Kumbu means grand blanket. This colourful and finely woven textile is made on the simple backstrap loom.

4. The lace-like embroidery used to decorate the kebaya of the Nyonyas is an intricate hand-sewn cut-out pattern of decorative floral motifs. It is done using the goyang (shaking) technique.
5. A Rungus maiden using on inavol loom. The background shows a backstring loom with an inset showing a rangit, a decorative piece worn at the back below the waist by Rungus men.

This robe is for casual wear. Worn by the Ming Empress. It is richly embroidered with a mighty dragon with bats in the clouds for its background. The motif is encased within a circle to symbolize perfection and wholeness. The dragon represents power and majesty.
